It is for those who already have a Sherline DRO installed on their mill and wish to add one to their lathe but do not want the expense of duplicating the box. You can unplug the leads from your mill and plug the lathe into the box you already own and save some money. (If you want a complete standalone lathe unit with its own box, you should order P/N 8200/8260.) Works with Sherline tools only.
